The Uninvited Guests

Today we had some unexpected visitors. They were cute, but very messy.

Believe it or not, this was their second visit of the day. The front door did not close all the way this morning and the wind must of blown it open. When I got back home from dropping the Sun Kissed Boys to school, I found the ducks in the hallway (heading to my bedroom). In the afternoon, I saw the ducks in my yard and I wanted the boys to play with them. I opened the door and left it opened running back in to grab the camera. I didn't want to miss a Kodak moment of the boys and the ducks. The ducks took this as an invitation for a second visit. Notice how the babies are sitting on the floor making themselves at home! :)

Meet Daisy.

Daisy is my neighbors' (Karen and Alanna) pet duck. She's an outdoor pet but apparently insists on being and indoor visitor. This is Karen feeding Daisy. That's right, Daisy is hand fed!!

Meet the ducklings. They too will probably be hand fed. :)

The Sun Kissed Boys enjoyed the uninvited visitors. But we had to say farewell because Sun Kissed Mamma was not going to clean the floors twice in one day.

Have a ducky day (pun intended).

My daughter has ducks. I know what a mess they leave behind. More so than my chickens.

We once had a duck come on a vacation to our home. We had so much fun with it and even gave it a name Beatrice. We thought it was so funny that he chased our cat! What is it about ducks...they have a perpetual smile. She loved our kiddy pool that sprayed water on her. Yes, they ARE messy otherwise I would have one now. It turned out it was our neighbors...ones we didn't know very well. They were soooooo happy when Beatrice returned...they had had a funeral for her! What fun pictures and I surely do understand why you wanted to get them out! Joni

LOL - any ducks that would make it in my house would end up at dinner - I'm just saying! ;O)

What a fun post!

And don't worry. We won't add any duck to our Alphabet Soup!

Thanks for linking this cute post.
