It was selling for $245, which is a steal for such a large, quality piece. Had I bought the wood to make this (not that I’d tackle such project), it would cost more than that on lumber. But I decided not to get it when I went because… well, because I was dumb. I thought I’d be strategic and come back a few weeks later and offer $200. How dumb was I??!! That was a great price to start with but I tend to be cheap a haggler. When I went back, it was SOLD!! As you can see, my strategies don’t always work.

The One That Got Away
I had been eyeing this faux fireplace at a local antique store. Please excuse the quality of the image. It was taken with my iPhone when I was love-struck.
Moral of the story? If you see something you love, BUY IT! Buy it right there and then and don’t look back.

I cannot tell you how many times that's happened to me! I always have to tell myself that it just wasn't meant to be. But I do try to follow that rule, if I'm out & I love it & just can't leave without it (and can't put it on hold)...
Love your blog! :)
