Yesterday was the last day of school for the Sun Kissed Boys. Last year Sun Kissed Boy #1 and I started a tradition of going out to lunch, just us two, on the last day of school. With my iPhone put away (the entire meal), I prepared myself for a pleasurable afternoon.
I listened as he told me stories about the latest episode of Kick Bottowski (yes, that’s a cartoon), school friends, the girl he has a crush on, and why he thinks we should have lobster at home everyday.
We talked about our plans for the summer and how wonderful of a time we will have.
As the years pass, I know I won't remember what exactly we spoke about but I will always treasure the memories of our lunch dates. I

That's a sweet tradition and yes, you may remember the conversation. My son is a little older and I don't remember day to day conversations but I do remember those from a special event and this is very special. Your son is quite handsome too!
