A Tisket, A Tasket, A Yellow, Blue, Silver Basket??!!

-I am determined to change all the lighting in our house to look distinctly unique.  I already changed the hallway light and the kitchen window light.  But what to do about this light?

Nothing wrong with it, especially in the room it is in.  It is in what we call the “in between” room simply because it’s in between the kitchen, the dining room, the living room and family room.   I just felt like it needed some umf!  So I searched around the house and I saw this.

I took out my 1 ½ spade bit and drilled a hole right down the middle.

The original color was too dark for the room so I sprayed the outside in metallic silver.

I wanted to do something a little funky so I sprayed the inside Sun Yellow.

But after I hung it, I wasn’t crazy about it.

So out came Aqua.

Then I hung it and not so much to my liking.

I decided that it didn’t need to look all that funky and finally sprayed the inside Metallic Silver as well.  I hung it and so far it’s the one I like the best…for the moment.  I

I like it silver the best. You also could have painted the original glass shade silver and it would have looked really pretty as well. I like that you kept the original stem and ceiling mount. Those look old with a good patina and really cool. Your new basket light looks great!

Are you always this creative? I love the Stinky Stash too. And this chandelier is a great idea that I may borrow. You are the first person that has ever commented on my button. It is a painting that my uncle painted in the 30's or early 40's of my grandmother who had the company named Permanent Posies. But how do you say that on a button....haha?
