You’ve Got a Friend in Me

-This weekend I took the Sun Kissed Boys to see Toy Story 3.

I, along with a few other viewers,  cried.  I cried when the toys are in the incinerator.  I cried when the mom is saying goodbye to Andy.  I cried when Andy plays with his toys one last time. But nothing tore me up more than when I heard the theme to the movie, “You’ve Got a Friend in Me”.  Not because of anything “emotional” going on while the song was playing but because it reminds me of my dear dog, Thor.

Thor was our first baby.  He was a sweet, loving, mooch of a dog.  Unfortunately, Thor passed away this February.  When he did, I put together a photomontage and used “You Got a Friend in Me” as the background music.

Not a day goes by that I don’t think about Thor.  I swear sometimes I “feel” him in the room. I definitely feel him in my heart. I

I know just how you feel. It's been over 10 years since our Tucker died and I still can't bring myself to adopt another. She's everywhere but mostly so deep in my heart, there's no room for a full-timer there.

It is very hard to lose a dog.
My family at that time, my father, mother, sister and I we lost our two dogs we had a long time ago, we cry like we lost part of our family, because dogs are the most faithful and best friends for sure
My sister and I, (not my parents, because unfortunately we lost them, Rest in Peace both of them, this is a very hard part of our lives too), we still remember them Yoky and Diana , ours babies.
I cry a lot thinking of Thor, and as Yanet said I defenitely feel him in my heart too.
To lose a dog is a big loss for their owner.

He looks like a real ham of a dog. Sorry for your loss. We have a cat that is 15 and he has a real personality--sometimes it feels that animals are as intelligent as a 2 year old. They seem to understand!

I just recently discovered your site. I'm sorry to read about the loss of your family member. He looked like such a lovable big guy. Your photo montage was a very beautiful tribute to him.
