Another Easy Peasy Cake Stand

-An unplanned playroom remodel has started in our house.  Sun Kissed Husband’s aunt and uncle stayed with us a couple of days and they LOVE to paint.  I don’t get the love they have for it, but they do.  When they come to visit, it’s almost a given that they will paint something in the house.  They have painted several of my rooms, several times. Their visit was a little spur of the moment, but some times that’s what I need to get me going in the direction I’ve been procrastinating.

All the chaos of company and playroom remodel messes left me little time for any big DIY projects this weekend.  I do have an easy/quick one to show you though.  Yes, folks, I’ve made another cake stand!

The last cake stand I made came out a little off center because I thought I would be good at eyeballing it.  I was mistaken.  This time, I decided to be a little more methodical.

Hot glue and something heavy to weigh it down.

While that set, Sun Kissed Boy #2 and I made a cake.

The best part of helping to make it is the taste test.

Doesn’t it look cute?

The boys could hardly wait to get into it.

One little monkey preferred to sneak in a taste.  I

Yanet…I've said it before, you have a beautiful home. I just wonder where you get the patience to do all of these projects. After I did all my initial painting/cleaning/tiling/slaving right before I first moved in, I have had no desire whatsoever to change it up.

Apathy reigns supreme.

Wow, that does look easy peasy! I may have to head to Goodwill soon to see what little treasures I can find to make one. Thanks for sharing! :)

That's cute! You could do a really fun birthday party with that piece as the inspiration.

That is clever. The animal cracker tin as a base is fabulous and fun!
