My Everyday in Black & White

This week in You Capture at I Should Be Folding Laundry the theme is “Everyday Things”.

I started the assignment by taking pictures of mundane everyday things in my routine until my camera showed me the bigger picture.  The moments that happen in my daily life that I treasure now and for years to come.  Because one day I’ll blink and there won’t be a lovey next to my sleeping boy.

One day I’ll blink and there won’t be a little head hanging off the jungle gym.

One day I’ll blink and there won’t be little hands pressed on the chalkboard wall.

One day I’ll blink and I will miss watching big brother helping out the baby.

One day I’ll blink and there won’t be monkey wrestling.

One day I’ll blink and I’ll yearn for the smell of Play-Doh.

One day I’ll blink and there won't be a matinee.

One day I’ll blink and exhausted little ones from the day's events won’t be passed out on the couch.

But if I’m lucky, when I open my eyes, my boys will have this kind of friendship. I

I love your B&W photos…there is something about removing the color which makes one focus on the content a bit more.

And thanks for your comment on my 4P post the other day as well as linking back to it. I hope your boys can keep up the obvious liking they have for each other right now.

Aww, I love this post. One of the things I love about photos is the capturing of the fleeting moment...especially of my growing boys...

It really is just a blink, Yanet. It's obvious you cherish this part of motherhood~good for you! I think I got way to caught up in my to-do list when my kids were small. There's no do overs, that's for sure.

Great photos, and that was a great article, too.

I loved this! Partly because of your great photos, but also because it was so familiar. (We even have that same puppet theater!) A lot of similarities to what I posted this week. Of course did a more thorough job! :)

The black and white makes these shots much more powerful. Thanks for stopping by my blog. I love your blog and I'm now following. I also hate those no reply emails. I want to reply back!

Beautiful post to go with the beautiful photos (or is it the other way around?)... I love that you did the whole series in B/W.

Precious pictures of your day! The b&w gives it a timeless quality that is perfect. I had to smile when I saw Publix! We moved to NE from S. FL years ago...and I always shopped at Publix! :-)

Awsome post the..... best of the best
Makes me cry and laugh at the same time.
That's life, our children are growing up too soon and suddenly they are men and women, but for us , mothers, ALWAYS they are and will be our babies.
Sometimes I would like past come back to have my little baby girl with me.
But again that's life and will continue...as a chain now I have my 3 little adorable grandsons and so and sooo... The chain of life that never stop.

I first saw your pictures and smiled and thought wow those are my everyday things too (dishes, laundry, sippy cups, diapers) then you went on and it brought a tear to my eye. So lovely. My baby is 15 months old and I don't like to think of the someday that he isn't cuddled with me.

love your pics - sometimes its fun to look back at the "everyday stuff"

But, i am looking at your pic of your computer, the one with your blog on it, and what platform do you use to write your posts? (i am assuming that is what you are doing anyways) i like how you can see everything, your title and all that stuff....just wondering :)
