No Playroom Updates for a While

-The weather has brought my playroom changes to one big halt.

I have benches to sand, shelves to spray paint, tables to stain, and chairs to revamp.  None of which I dare do inside with three active boys (not that I would sand or spray paint inside anyway).  Since I was hoping to do all of above-mentioned projects this week, I hadn’t put back any of the toys.

Meanwhile, it looks like the playroom projectile vomited all over my house.  It’s a disaster.  Don’t believe me?  Think I’m exaggerating?  Take a look for yourself.

Sun Kissed Boy #1 put it perfectly when he said, “The family room looks like a junk yard”.  I take it seriously since it’s coming from someone whose idea of cleaning is shoving things under the bed.  To top it off, the rain is suppose to last through Sunday.  I reluctantly decided to put toys away.  I was angrily shoving things under the art table when I saw this.

It made me smile, step back, and take a breath.  When I popped my head from under the table, I reminded myself whom the playroom was for.

They don’t care if furniture is painted or if letters are hung on walls.  They just know they have a place to have fun.

I will slowly re-do the playroom, one little project at a time.  And one day (probably weeks, maybe months from now) I’ll have the BIG reveal!  And I will be ok with that.   I

I love the fact that you remembered who the playroom was really for…it really does make a difference doesn't it?

The new haircuts look great!

That is a really cute shot of their legs.

I get impatient, too. I want it done and I want it done NOW! Maybe next week the weather will be project perfect. :)

I hear ya with progress slowing down. I get frustrated too. Still waiting on worker to show up and oh, I don't know, work! Now, the weather is changing here too. Hope you guys weather the storm okay.

You are very wise to realize that the space is for the boys, but I feel your pain. Isn't it funny how they speak with honesty? Thanks for visiting yesterday.

I moved into my own place a few months ago. And I have yet to finish totally unpacking, and my kids rooms? Eh, they still have boxes and piles. I wanted to be done by the time school started but I'm not sure about that now!

One day your playroom will be ready, and it will be awesome. :)
