Armchairs Wanted

-I mentioned earlier this week that I want to place some nice, comfy, armchairs on both sides of the TV on the new TV wall. I am looking on Craigslist (of course) for something that looks likes this.

Sources: Anthropologie, Ballard Designs, Horchow, Restoration Hardware

I am nowhere near talented enough to sew furniture covers so I really want them to look like this to start with, not something I can transform.  This can get difficult because these chairs, retail, cost around $800 and up.  And my price range is $50!  So it’s going to take some time (and maybe courage to offer someone something that low).  But wouldn’t you know it, I got an e-mail through my local Freecycle with this subject line:

OFFER:  LEATHER POTTERY BARN STYLE CHAIR & OTTOMAN

GASP!!!  I e-mailed the owner right away and made arrangements for pick up.  After talking Sun Kissed Husband into it (and fixing a flat tire on the way), we got the chair and ottoman home.

It’s not in perfect condition but it’s nothing Gorilla Tape and a blankie can’t handle.

I actually love the fact that I can change the seat “cover” whenever I want.

The boys have claimed the storage in the ottoman.

This might be my best freebie yet!

Come back for a visit tomorrow,
I have a surprise!!! I

The armchair and ottoman looks great, like new,
What else can you get any better for the quality of this furniture for the price you pay for it?

Freecycle to the rescue!

That looks really good with the seat wrapped like that.
