E is for Elephant

When I was pregnant with SKB #1, I was given this cute and soft elephant.
Source: Ebay
I used a stock photo because said elephant no longer looks this way.

I simply referred to the elephant as Elefante (that’s elephant in Spanish).  As soon as SKB #1 was old enough, he claimed the sweet and velvety rattle.  He couldn’t pronounce Elefante and would say Titi instead, so Titi stuck.

SKB #1 was very resourceful from a very young age.  He would grab Titi by the trunk with his mouth.  After all, he had places to crawl to and needed his little hands for that.  That was the beginning of the end to this poor elephant’s trunk.

Titi has traveled everywhere with us.

Even when other toys were introduced, Titi was never far away.
After loosing (and recovering) Titi at several stores, an airport, Downtown Disney and several other places that I don’t recall at the moment, I decided to purchase a couple of replacement Titis.
We lost Titi #2 somewhere along the way.  But we still have Old Titi (the original) and Titi (the 3rd and last one I purchased).
Titi was once thrown up to a chandelier and no one noticed until the burnt smell filled the room.  I bought some felt fabric and patched him up.

To this day, SKB #1 loves his Titi.
This post was inspired by Jenny Matlock’s Alphabe Thursday Letter E.  Enjoy the weekend everybody!

What a super adorable and super sweet history about Titi and his owner SKB #1.
SKB # 1 adore them and always was his favorite toy and still is.
He is now 8 years old (still a little innocent boy), sweet, lovely, caring, cute, all the good things a person can be......,
By the way the photos are spectacular, on it, he looks a cute baby and handsome boy.
GOD BLESS THIS ADORABLE BOY AND HIS 2 BROTHERS TOO....The (3 Sun Kissed Boys)

Aww, this is such a cute story :) E has a teddy bear that someone gave her when she was 6 months old. She's very attached to Bear now and can't sleep in her bed without him. Needless to say, he's been through a lot too including being thrown up on and tossed onto the ground when we are out and about. Still, a little trip to the washing machine always brings him back to "normal". I hope that Bear will continue to be in E's life the same way that Titi stayed in SB#1's life. Thanks for the story!

It seems that blankets and stuffed animals never seem to lose their appeal.

This is a beautifully familiar story - thanks for the chance to think back to when our now-thirty-year old father-of-two was a baby and given a knitted teddy, called Sitty Teddy, after my mother, the knitter. Sitty Teddy traveled the world and was also lost in airports, hotels and on a train. When our son went to live away for university I went into his room, in tears at his leaving, and realized he'd taken Sitty Teddy with him. To this day I've never asked where the teddy was kept during that time!
