Things I Want to Remember About the SKBs of 2010

There are little things my boys do or say day to day that are funny or down right adorable.  At the time they happen I think I'm going to remember them always.  But as I am writing this post, I can only remember one.  And that's only because it JUST happened.  Next year I will try to be better about keeping track of these things.  I will start a draft post and keep adding to it as the year progresses to publish at year end.  For right now, I will just put on my thinking cap and do the best I can.

Sweet Note from SKB #1
I asked Sun Kissed Boy #1 if he could find my cell phone.  He brought it to me few minutes later.  He handed it to me with a kiss and a smile.  This is what was on the screen:

SKB #3 Learned to Dress Himself

The Day SKB #2 Said "What the F#@$"
It was late May and we were putting together one of his Lego sets he had gotten for his birthday.  I was putting the "machine" part together while SKB #2 played with the characters that he had put together, Buzz Lightyear and Zurg.  SKB #2 was pretending that Buzz and Zurg were fighting when I heard him say, "What the F@#$", in a squeaky voice.  I couldn't believe it so of course I asked him to repeat it.  I was dumbfounded!  After I got over my initial shock, I explained to him that it was a bad word and we don't use it.  He was never to say that word again.  He said ok and kept on playing happily.

A couple of minutes later I heard him say, "what the...".  He caught himself and stopped.  He looked over at me and said, "Me not say, what the f@#$".

When SKB #1 Picked an Outfit for Me to Wear...
...to the bookstore!  Not sure what exactly he thought I'd be doing at bookstore wearing these shoes.

SKB #2's Last Pre-K Holiday Program & SKB #3's First

The Way the SKB #3 Monkeyed Around

In 2010 we had a little fun...

...a little sad...

...some cheesy smiles...

...and a whole lotta love!

Happy New Year, everybody!!!

Yanet, this year in photos is great. It really brings an element to it that words alone can't do.

You, my friend, survived another year. Here's to another year of making it.

Oh my stars, are those SKB's the most adorable children in this world! My absolute favorites are when you caught them hugging. You are so blessed with these wonderful memories. I too lost a pet this year, our dog that was 18 years old, and it about broke our hearts. Those sweet animals have a special place in our heart. Happy New Year!!

Your kids look like a BLAST to be around!

The grey paint came from the 'Mis-tints' section and didn't even have a label on it. I have no idea what it is called...but it was only $3! Personally I love any shade of grey. It has to be my new fav. color!

What a sweet post! Had to laugh at the WTF bit. Reminded me of the time my daughter announced that she had to take a p*ss.

Thanks for being a Speckled Dog follower!

Just found you through Maya...love your chronicle...the boys are adorable. (They, and their antics) remind me of my 3 "sun-kissed" boys...now grown, on their own...and still filled with "antics". I'll be watching for more...

What a fun and funny post! I had to chuckle at your son's dropping of the F-bomb. I think most of us can relate to that moment.

Blogging is such a wonderful way to document these moments. My son is now 21 and I am unable to conjure up memories on command, but something will happen from time-to-time that will spark a memory so vividly.

Happy New Year! La

Nice recap of the year, and GREAT SKB photos! I like that you don't just show the perfect pics- the acrobat climbing up the wall feet first in his diaper made me laugh out loud in empathy!
