-Since Sun Kissed Husband and I decided not to put Sun Kissed Boy #1 in summer camp (he’s the only one of the boys old enough to go to summer camp), our days are extremely busy. This is how the routine usually goes, an activity in the AM, lasting around 2 hours, and then an activity in the PM. Here’s the rule though: If there’s any complaining about being bored or not having anything to do, the afternoon’s activity or the next morning's activity gets cancelled. Luckily, I haven’t needed to implement it!
Tuesdays AM activity is Chuck E. Cheese. Chuck E. Cheese is a chain of family entertainment centers. Kids seem to worship this place but parents don’t seem to share the love. I think the key to make it a little more tolerable for parents is to go at the right time. At the wrong time, Chuck E. Cheese is crowded and noisy. If you can find out when their “down time” is, taking your children for a couple of hours can be a God send. We go 1:00-3:00. At Chuck E. Cheese, tokens are required to play their arcade games. I get them from a friend so that saves me tons of cash. Another money saving tip is to join their club. This entitles me to coupons on their meal package, which usually comes with even more tokens.
Meet Chuck E. Cheese. For the record, Sun Kissed Boy #1 was not happy that I was including a picture of him and Chuck E. in this blog. I am told the mouse is for babies. We came to an agreement that it would be ok to include this picture if I stated that he was not happy about taking the picture and I made him do it. J
The PM activity is a walk to the park. We are fortunate enough to live around the corner from a park so after dinner we take a little stroll over and swing, and slide, and climb, and jump!
Join me tomorrow for a date at the alley. I
