Sun Kissed Boys #1's Room's Done...for now

I've been putting off posting pictures of SKB #1's room because, after posting inspiration pictures, I was inspired.  Inspired to repaint, to take up carpeting, etc.  Then I remembered, I hate painting.  I'm not good at painting walls.  I drip and my borders come out wobbly, even with painter tape!  (Don't ask, I don't know how that can happen but it does.)  So I'll wait until Sun Kissed Husband's Aunt Jane and Uncle Dave (they LOVE painting and have painted my house several times over) come down for a visit.  But at least the room is organized and roomier looking.

This is how it use to look like (when I started moving stuff around).

Decluttering and shifting furniture around goes a long way.

My idea of putting things away is to put them in a drawer or closet.  Sun Kissed Boy #1's idea is to display them.

He actually might be up to something.  Using his toys to decorate is a getting double usage out of them.  Also, his likes and dislikes change so quickly, this might be the easiest way to decorate as well.

This week seems to be dragging for me.  I'm so glad tomorrow is finally Friday!

I love the pics of his toys all lined up and ready to go. My 6yo does that with his Lego men, too.

That's an ideal boy's room! I think it's great that you let him display his toys. I've never been a fan "no toys showing unless they're french antiques" types of kids rooms. They look a little sterile to me.

My boys would feel right at home there. They are Star Wars freaks! I love the beadboard and color of the room! It's very bright and happy! Is that chalkboard paint? Good job organizing!

Send those paining folks my way! I have a shared boys' bedroom, a boy's nursery, AND a playroom that are in serious need of decorating help. Really not my forte. I wish it was... I have ideas but struggle with the execution. I need minions.

I just noticed that red stool in SKB #1's room. I have wanted one for such a long time! Where did you get it? Do you remember how much it cost? The only time I have seen them they were being sold for more than I wanted to spend on them.

Also, as for the Stuck Like Glue post... I love the song but never seen the video till today. SO CUTE! Jennifer's hair looked so great in it! It's all I could think about the whole video.

Hope your week is wonderful!
