I told you about my visit to the Cooper City Antique Mall in this post. One of the treasures I came home with was this wood and metal spool.
It so industrial, isn't it?
I'm using it as a picture holder right now. So easy to put together. Watch!
Ok, fine! I used the pliers just to make it look like something. You could probably just squeeze it with your fingers to make it fit. :) And I didn't have to spray paint it either. Again, trying to look all technical. Using an unpainted paperclip works too. (cheesy smile)
I also love where I'm displaying it but I'm not ready to show you just yet. Here's a hint.
Stay tuned.

10 Sunny Notes:
I'm sure it will be good!
Love it! I'll be back! xo
Looks like a good find! I have a feeling you are using it on a vintage sewing machine? Am I warm ;)
Karrie, I think I made the clue too easy. I should have zoomed in more. ;•)
I love it used as a picture holder, you are so creative girl! Is that a foot pedal of a sewing machine? Did they even have foot pedals?
what a great and easy to do project and repurpose!
very industrial and very cool! I have an old singer sewing machine like that too. I'm interested to see what you're doing.
Can't wait to see! I do love the idea of using different items to hold photos and not just a frame.
Ooohh~it's going to be good!
I love that spool!
I have so many of the spools but I have and probably never would have photographed one. I love it! It takes someone who can see the most ordinary and turn it into something so inviting. I have taken half dolls and used spools as the the skirt. as to the sewing machine. I love industrial Chic
