How Our Week Went

It's funny how things work out.  To me, it's like God said, "Ok, you all need to slow down and breath.  Something traumatic just happened and you need to slow your schedules and unify.  Life is short, so enjoy it.  At least take a week, for MY sake!"  It sounds like something God would tell me, right?

Sun Kissed Husband's schedule worked in a way that allowed for  him to be home for dinner every night.  We BBQed and enjoyed the outdoors.

Sun Kissed Boy #1 had a minor ear infection which kept him away from swimming practice.  Due to standardize testing at the school, there was no homework all week.  All this freed up his afternoon schedule to play.

Sun Kissed Boy #3 was feeling under the weather, which kept him away from school and allowed Sun Kissed Boy #2 to have some company.  It was great...

...for the most part.

Yes, it's been an emotional week.  I have my moments of sadness.

But watching my boys having fun and happy has made it a lot easier for me to deal with.

Yep, funny how things work out.

I heard a speaker talk about this once. He called it the "tender mercies" of God. Small things that make a tough situation a little easier. I'm glad you had an easier week. I've been thinking about you and your family a lot. I hope you'll have what you'll need next week, too.

The first shot is so beautiful!!!
I think you are right, I can picture God telling you just what you feel!
Kids have such a perfect way of lifting the weight from our hearts of sadness when it's needed!

Oh! I love your photos. I voted for you every day in the BOB Awards for photography. I can't think of anything better for you than to have things "fall into place" so you could have your family around you this past week. Hugs....

One of these days we are going to meet and I have a feeling that we're going to be awesome friends.

I hope that the joy the boys bring counterbalance the 'other' parts of life which aren't so great...
