Introducing Cooper

It was a hot and breezy afternoon when we arrived.  I told Sun Kissed Husband to wait in the car with the boys to make sure all was alright.  It was important to find the right personality to suit our family and our life style.  I went in not knowing what to expect, hoping there'd be a connection.  There was.
Meet Cooper.

Cooper came from Friends Forever Rescue where he was being very well cared for by his foster mommy.  But he couldn't wait for his forever home.  That's where we came in.

He's a sweet Schnauzer/Westie mix, around two years old, and VERY playful.

My friends have given me a hard time about his collar.  They think it's a little on the girly side.  I loved the color so I went with it.

If they thought the collar was girly, wait 'til they see his bed. Ha!
It's an oversized pillow that came from my mom's house and I know she'd be thrilled that our new little addition was enjoying it's coziness.

For the record, I did try to make him a more boyish bed but it was too little and someone else liked it better.

Sun Kissed Boy #2 named him after his teacher's doggy.

Cooper's getting plenty love from everybody in the family.

Yep, I think he'll fit in just fine.  Happy weekend, everybody!

I hope he's a Super Cooper, indeed...

He is so cute. Looks like he is loving his new home. I like his collar. My boys teased me about the color of Henry's collar being girlie too. It's argyle! That's not girlie. I bet he'd love to play with Cooper!

What a sweet addition to the family and he came at such a good time for you all. Love the collar color and the bed (both of them actually). We are huge dog lovers here (2 older ones and a new puppy) and they are certainly important members of the family. Looks like Cooper found the perfect forever family.

That is great that he is so comfortable with the family already. I do not think the collar is girly at all. He looks very handsome with it!

Ready for a comment as large as a novel? okay.... It's so funny because I can't read your posts, get to the comments and then know all that I want to comment on. So... I take notes on post its..... Yeah, I am crazy....

Okay, ready? Let's go!

1) Cooper. When I seen the first pic I was hoping I would read that he is now a member of your family. I am so happy that you rescued him and he looks so adorable. My mom got 2 mini schnauzers when I was a teenager, one White, one black. The white one is significantly softer & the best dog with kids. I loved them so much that I got a tiny schnauzer 3 years ago.

2) The collar is so nice! I like how light (in weight) it is and the color is wonderful.

3) Cooper's Bed - Okay, that pillow is so perfect! Did your Mom make the cover or did she buy it? It is wonderful that you have a piece of your mom at home with you.

5) Baby in suitcase is a great moment you captured.

6) Baby kissing Cooper is even more awesome!

7) OH! That soft white perfect hair!!! It looks as soft as all get out - but know that if it is not or still has a bit of wireyness to it (that's a word...) the more you shave Cooper's back the softer it will get. We call that super soft hair feathers.

8) As for the post just before this one, I am so happy to hear that you were able to take a week to relax and unwind and remember.
P.S. - IS THAT YOUR BACKYARD?!?!?! Yes? Wanna come to Utah for the summer and me and my hub will go there? Come on, we can do a house swap! ;)
