Bedroom Decorating: Flowery & Girly

I'm doing some changes in my master bedroom that required for me to take the mattress and box spring out of it. As I type this post, I am laying on my mattress in my living room floor. When I brought the mattress in here, I realized that my living room doubles as a bedroom really easily. Is that strange?

I am hoping to show the changes in the master bedroom in a couple of weeks. In the meantime, I thought it'd be fun to play around with the decor in the living room turned bedroom using only the furniture pieces and accessories that are already in this room (with the addition of the mattress and my cell phone charger). I'll share a different one each day this week (or at least until I run out of ideas).

(All these photos were taken at nighttime. I apologize for the quality, or lack there of.)

If you have a low bed and want to add a love seat in front of it, I suggest looking for a love seat that is low to the ground as well. Another option is to take the legs off the love seat.

Try to think outside the box when it comes to nightstands. A repainted ladder and a suitcase sitting upright worked just dandy.

If this was a real bedroom, a desk instead of a coffee table would work nicely in this spot.

Every bedroom needs a dresser. I have one of those in my living room too. Weird? Probably.

Oh, I did add Coopers bed to the new "bedroom". He's very confused about the whole situation.

Since the bed is now at his height, he's wondering if it means that's his new bed.

Not so, little pup. Off to bed you go.

What are your thoughts of this temporary bedroom space?

I love the ladder as a night stand! I could totally see that working as a bedroom...I actually think the couch by the bed looks really great too!

I think it works! I'm really liking how the loveseat looks at the end of the bed. The nightstands are both fun, too.
