However, that has been
Since he is now 9 years old, he competes in a new category (not the 8 & under, as before). In his team, he's trained to raise against his own time. The goal in the swim meets is to beat your own time, on every event. I am so proud to report that he did just that in the swim meet this past Saturday. (If you are a Facebook follower this is old news. Bear with me as I brag some more.)
His progress, makes getting up in the mornings a little easier.
Sun Kissed Boy #3 has also joined the swim team! This was his first day at practice. He was eager to get in the water. Luckily, he has his 15-month older brother to show him the ropes.
With all the boys now in the swim team, I foresee lots of early mornings in the years to come... and that's ok!

Wow! That's something to be proud of! The little guy is so cute. My kids never wanted to do swim team, but I can sympathize...all three wrestled and we were up plenty of early mornings (yes, even in the summer!)
Oh this makes me happy! I was on the swim team for 3 years in highschool! Congrats to SKB 1 for beating his time! It feels great when you keep getting faster! And it is an awesome workout too.
good for them!!!! they are all adorable and look like they get along so welll.
sawyer is in camp this summer for 7 weeks- drop off at 7:30.... yeah, a morning to sleep in would be nice!
I am proud too! So adorable!!! It is such a proud moment for them...It is a great sport and one that can pay for their college...Yay! My son is a track star...It is such a great feeling when the everyone is screaming his name...He is a natural...:) Did you come see my summer vignette...I know it is something you would appreciate...Xo to you and the 3 stars! Well done boys! I can smell the chlorine. Those early mornings were killer for me too. I would sit with my coffee and big sunglasses and zone out while I waited. Occasionally I'd gab with other moms but really we all just wanted to sleep!
So fun! My mom wants my boys to do swim team but something about those early summer morning just doesn't work for me. Plus the closest swim club is a 30 minutes drive and doing that five days a week all summer seems like torture!
Oh wow. A seven-in-the-morning wow. Good thing your son is giving you a good reason for getting up that early. Yay for him! And your other little swimmers! (Heh!) I love swimming as a sport and hope my boys will get into it too.
Rock on all 3 SKBs!
And to their mom who take them mornings...
Congratulations to him!!! That's awesome.
WTG momma!! Getting those boys aquainted with something they are good at is such a great thing, even if it means not getting your leisurely summer mornings (I am the same as you!! I count down all year and just cherish the summer morning relaxation!)
That's so great! Tell him way to go! I'm sure it does make it easier to have them there by SEVEN AM!!
All your boys look so cute lined up. :)
