The Junky Magazine Holder

What, a Saturday post? That's right. I completely forgot that I have a project to show off for this week's Saturday Nite Special over at Funky Junk Interiors. Donna has us link up all kinds of projects but this week's theme is "What Is It? Junk". My junky contribution is my magazine holder...

... that I dug out of the dumpster.

My magazine holder was once a fryer.

But I took off the handle and shined it up to hold my favorite inspiration periodicals.

Other great uses for this is a remote control caddy.

If you flip it upside down, drill a hole, and attach an electrical kit (found at a hardware store or Ikea), like the one I used for this project, it makes an original pendant lamp too.

LOL! That photo of you in the dumpster is to die for. And a little too close to home I might add. :)

Cool fryer mag thing!

The first time I saw that I wondered "where did she get that?" Meaning, where did she buy that. But you were the ultimate junker~you earned it by dumpster diving! It's a really cool piece!
