I am very slowly changing my bedroom from a "matchy-matchy set" to something that reflects my personality and current taste a little more. Not so matchy and all together.
I just about drove the paint expert at Home depot nuts trying to decide on a color. Ultimately, I decided to paint a little suitcase in Burnished Metal with accents in Antique Tin.
After painting the suitcase and adding some details, it was ready for show.
Since it's a make-shift nightstand in our master bedroom, I added personal and romantic little touches.
I like to change things up often so I added a sweet little heart to show when I use the suitcase laying down.
I used aluminum as another way to play up the gray. A repurposed fryer that I dug out of a dumpster holds my favorite magazines. While an aluminum cup insulator displays pretty flowers.
So, are you ready to ditch your nightstand? Not functional enough for ya? Come back tomorrow and I'll show that it can be!
