Anniversary Day

Thank you for the Happy Anniversary wishes! I haven't had a chance to respond to the comments yet, but Sun Kissed Husband and I read them and we appreciate you taking the time to leave us Sunny Notes. (One of Sun Kissed Husband's favorite things to read in this blog is what yall have to say).

It's funny how things change in our lives as time passes. Without a doubt, ten years ago our anniversary celebration would have been going to dinner to a fancy restaurant. Nothing wrong with that, specially since we both enjoy going out to dinner. But this year Sun Kissed Husband decided to come along with me garage saling because he knows I love it so. Garage sale + his company. Perhaps two of my top favorite things ever

Sun Kissed Husband thought it would be a great idea to hit fancy neighborhoods. Surely they have great stuff to sell, right? Well, they might have, but they weren't selling this past Saturday. So our garaging turned into a scenic little trip instead.

We both enjoy driving around and looking at pretty homes. Top favorite.
I wanted a better view of the house with my 300mm lens but I already felt a little stalkish-paparazzish-like so I stopped my self. Ok, fine, I didn't have the lens with me. There, I said it!

After sight seeing, we went to our favorite spot for lunch. Top favorite.

They make terrific Bloody Marries but we mostly enjoy the view. Top favorite.

Then we headed back home and spent the rest of the afternoon playing with these little guys. Top favorite.

Spending my 17th year wedding anniversary driving around looking for junk, eating at a local dive, and running after 3 little boys and a furry mutt was probably not what I envisioned. But as it turned out, it was one of my top favorite anniversaries!

My 15 year anniversary is this month. I like the same kind of day that you had. Laid back and low key. I felt stalkish too when I did my neighborhood pics. :) Congrats on 17 years.

That sounds like the perfect day! I am kind of jealous that you are so close to the beatiful beach! We are only about 20 minutes from the gulf, but our views are not very pretty.

I was hoping you would link this post up to the party. I have been to Ft. Lauderdale and took a water taxi through the intercostal waterway and saw a ton of neat homes and yachts.

Okay, so I am buying a lotto ticket and If I win I am moving to your part of the world. Those views? Incredible. I would never leave. :)

What a fun post - sounds like a perfect anniversary. Hubby and I have doe the fancy dinner thing too, our favs are the simple days spent together too.
Thanks for commenting on my house tour - in answer to your question about wanting to see inside....While trick-or-treating with the kids I once feigned a cold, and poked my head in to check out the living room while the owner got me a tissue - I have no shame.

It sounds like a great day! (those rich people can be stingy with their junk!)
We used to do the fancy restaurant thing, too. But now it's get a milkshake and take a drive in the mountains. It's all good. :)
