Favorite Part of the Day

We have a dinner ritual in our house. Every night during dinner, we take turns on talking about our favorite part of the day. On this particular day, the Sun Kissed Boys wanted to talk about their favorite part of the day during snack time.

The purpose of favorite part of the day is not only keep the lines of communication open between us but also to find something positive in our day, even on not so great days.

When the days are uneventful, sometimes the boys need a little help finding a favorite. But the favorite part of someone's day can be something as simple as a finding a lost toy or getting to eat the stuffing of an Oreo cookie.

Finding pleasure in everyday's simple things.

Sharing things that make us happy.

Creating memories for years to come.

This day's favorite part was unanimous. Everyone's favorite part of the day was snack time!

What's YOUR favorite part of the day?!

I love this. It made me smile big. My favorite part of the day are mornings I don't have to work and I can take my time catching up on the computer while drinking my coffee and everyone is asleep.

We used to do the same thing...sort of....we did high point, low point.(I think that was actually taken from a movie we saw). Not as positive of a spin as yours, but we had to find a high point even if we had a rough point. We still do this occasionally...even though sometimes it's tough to get the entire family together every night (work schedules, sport schedules, etc)

This is a great tradition. For me, it all depends on which day it is...I would have to say that a great part of the day is waking up in the morning and listening to the birds sing outside my window. Nearly every morning they are there singing to their hearts' content.

When I want to sleep in though, it annoys me sometimes...

That's a great tradition. I'll bet you hear things you didn't expect sometimes. :)

My oldest son lives near my brother, and is invited to my brother's house almost every Sunday for dinner. They do this, but for the whole week.

That is an AWESOME tradition! I’d have to say my morning coffee is often a favorite. Although if I had Oreos as a snack, that definitely be my #1!

Sometimes we like the time spent in the car on a little road trip or when we need to run several errands. We all talk a lot in the car and often catch up on things.

My favorite part of the day is getting home from work. Or on the weekends I have cuddle time under a blanket on the couch with my daughter on the weekends. She expects it now which is fine by me!

This is a great thing to keep in mind for when I have kids! I love the pictures. But what I love more is how SKB#3 has his shirt on backwards. Oh I love kids. I remember when I was in middle school there was this huge craze to wear your sweatshirts (not hoodies) inside out and sometimes backwards. Your son looks much cuter than we ever did.
