Makes Me Happy!

When the boys go out to play, Sun Kissed Boy #3 is usually the last one out. Being the youngest just means he's not mastered the throw-on-whatever-t-shirt-n-shorts-happen-to-be-lying-on-the-floor skills that his older brothers have. When he comes outside to play, he'll have methodically picked out an outfit just for him.

Let's take a closer look, shall we? The t-shirt is right side out but backwards. So is the shirt (which he refers to as jacket), just upside down.

Then we have the case with the pants. We'll ignore the fact that they are jammy pants. But they are wrong side out AND backwards! Of course this outfit begs for shoes to be put on in the wrong feet, don't you think?

Even though we've tried to teach him again and again, he does this quite often. So when I asked him why he insists on wearing his outfits backwards, he's response was "It makes me happy, Mom!" 'Nough said, my son!

Enjoy your weekend everybody! Hope you wear what makes you happy!

Oh how sweet. It makes him happy. Well, at least he's consistent in how he puts things on and he knows what he likes. Maybe this is a sign that he will grow up and be an independent thinker and not just follow the crowd.

This is so cute and you are a great mom to let him have fun like this. My youngest daughter, she's 11 now, used to put crazy clothing combos together. I had to stop myself from comstantly telling her it didn't match. She didn't care, it made her happy. Can't argue with that?

this is the BEST post...it made me SMILE!!

reminded me when my son was this age - he came out with his swimsuit on but the liner was somehow slung over one of his shoulders. Still to this day have no idea how he actually accomplished that but it was quite a (tarzan-like) look! Good moments!

oh, so cute!!! He is so sweet! Love this outfit...really. It makes me happy, too! Hmm, my 20 year old still dresses like that sometimes...I guess he's happy.

Ah, so sweet! Whatever makes him happy. I let my four-year-old wear whatever he wants as long as it's not TOO clash-y.

My two-year-old, though, wanted to be buck naked today!

That is adorable! He's happy, so who cares??
I wish backwards shirts and mismatched socks made me happy. Maybe I should work on that.

Oh gosh, he's so cute. You tell him that it made me happy too! (Lol, I just saw Teachinfourth said the same!)

That is EXACTLY the way my youngest dressed. He also happens to be addicted to rainboots and will wear them everyday. He's been known to pair them with swimshorts or khaki pants and a button-down long-sleeved shirt. I absolutely love the creativity and the fact that he puts so much thought into what he is wearing makes it even better.
