I can't remember how we got talking about it but Sun Kissed Husband and I were discussing how to go about setting up an outdoor movie theater to enjoy when it gets cooler out. He had in mind something like this and calling it a day.
Hm, really? I envisioned something a little differently. What I pictured involved little Christmas lights and maybe some bunting. I had in mind something more like these.
I’ve always wanted to do this but have never gotten around to it. I LOVE that second shot! I’d never go inside if my “movie theater” looked like that! Even the popcorn bowl is exquisite!
I have wanted to do this. Never did, but there has been a want every year when the time is right. And I love the loungers in that one photo. Awesome to have for movie nights. Even inside! ;-)
I've never done anything like this but it looks like so much fun. I like your ideas better than your husband's. His is perfect for a neighborhood football game watch while yours is more cozy for family movie night. Once you make it happen, let us know what it was like!
We did one in August for our son's 16th birthday. We just hung a white sheet from the roof and used a power point projector hooked up to a laptop to project a movie we had on DVD. All the kids brought something to sit/lounge on. So nothing fancy, but it worked.
lol!!! we set up a tent... with an old fasioned tv in it. my 9 year old and his 3 best buds watched the original karate kid... they had a blast! i had visioned one of those fabulous looking movie nights too... but needed to keep it real! ; ) hope you have a blast! : )

I haven't but it looks like fun! Also, yours is much cuter. I think they should bring back drive-ins. I miss them.
